Fellowship-trained orthopaedic knee surgeon passionate about the evolving advanced technologies in knee surgery. Dr. Panjwani has special expertise in treating early to moderate to severe osteoarthritis of knee, ligament or meniscal tears. Dr. Panjwani believes in knee preservation, meaning the native knee structures and soft tissues must be preserved as much as possible, and therefore uses the latest robotic technology in replacement surgeries of the knee.

Dr. Panjwani is a clinician-scientist and has more than 10 peer-reviewed publications to his credit. He is also a reviewer for the Journal of Knee Surgery.

 

Dr. Panjwani is currently practising Knee preservation, Robotic knee replacement surgeries (total and partial) and Knee arthroscopy at Shalby of Hospitals in Ahmedabad and Mumbai.

Orthopaedic Training

After completing basic medical training (M.B.B.S.), Dr. Panjwani underwent masters training in Orthopaedic surgery (M.S.) from the prestigious Seth G.S. Medical College and King Edward Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. He pursued further specialised training in knee surgery from a high volume joint replacement centre in India under Dr. Ashok Rajgopal. He was then selected for the highly sought after clinical fellowship at National University Hospital, Singapore. Under the guidance of Prof Lingaraj Krishna and A/Prof Wong Ken Lin at NUH, he was exposed to the latest developments and research in knee surgery.  

Interests

Apart from knee surgery, Dr. Panjwani is a complete family-man. He spends time with his lovely wife (who is a gynaecologist) and his year-old son, Mustafa. Visiting new places and trying new cuisines is always on their list.
